COOPÉRATIVE YAGOR
Our cooperative is a traditional craft organization specializing in Moroccan carpets, sewing, and embroidery. Founded in 2000, it aims to preserve authentic Moroccan craftsmanship while adapting it to modern needs and market demands. Since its establishment, the cooperative has supported the promotion of traditional skills and the economic empowerment of women.
We have strong expertise in carpet weaving and produce a wide range of well-known Moroccan carpets, including Sammad, Chiadoui, Akkad, Jray, and other traditional styles found across Morocco. Each carpet is handmade using ancestral techniques and naturally dyed wool, with colors derived from natural sources. This process results in authentic, long-lasting, and environmentally friendly colors, reflecting our respect for traditional methods and nature. In addition to classic carpets, we create artistic carpet panels and fully customized designs. Any drawing or pattern can be transformed into a unique woven piece that blends heritage with contemporary creativity.
Alongside carpet production, the cooperative is active in sewing and embroidery, developing handcrafted products inspired by Moroccan heritage. To diversify our work, we also create innovative items from carpet materials, such as handbags, laptop cases, accessories, and jewelry, including earrings made from carpet elements.
Training and skills transmission are central to our mission. We provide professional training to young women through a vocational program supervised by the Chamber of Traditional Crafts. Through quality, innovation, and education, our cooperative continues to preserve Moroccan cultural heritage while evolving in a contemporary and creative way.
